London, Amsterdam, Berlin???
Hey Guys!
In July, I’ll be going on an awesome Europe trip with my lovely friend Michelle, and we’ll be covering London (with a possible trip to Cardiff), Amsterdam and Berlin. We know about the big sites the must-see places but if you live there of have been to any of those places do you know and local gems we definitely don’t want to miss?? We’d love to see as much as we can!!
Thanks!

Riomaggiore, Italy
The most southerly of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre on the Ligurian coast, the picture-postcard Riomaggiore captures the imagination at it seems to tumble down the steep hillside into the Mediterranean. If you ever do get to visit, be sure to sample the local wine produced from the grapes of the vineyards above the town.

Can’t wait!! July 2012!

"I took an estimated two thousand years of high school French, and when I finally got to France, I discovered that I didn’t know one single phrase that was actually useful in a real-life French situation. I could say, “Show me the fish of your brother Raoul,” but I could not say, “Madame, if you poke me one more time with that umbrella I am going to jam it right up one of your primary nasal passages,” which would have been extremely useful."

Oh My God. I can STILL direct you to the swimming pool in the fictional French village in my textbook, but when I was in Montpellier on a homestay I had to resort to charades to remember the word for towel. For shame.
Yet another to add to my “places to go” list.
